Privacy Policy

Slurp Games Ltd

Effective Date: 4 June 2025

1. Introduction

Slurp Games Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal data when you play our mobile games or otherwise interact with our services.

This Privacy Policy applies to all mobile games published by Slurp Games Ltd and any associated websites or services. For users in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, this policy also sets out your rights under UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

By downloading or playing our games, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our games.

2. Age Requirements

Our games are intended for players aged 14 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 14. If you are under 14, please do not use our games or provide any personal data to us.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 14 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at privacy@slurpgames.uk and we will promptly delete that information.

Players aged 14 to 17 (or such other age of majority in your jurisdiction) should review this policy with a parent or guardian.

3. Data We Collect

Depending on how you interact with our games and services, we may collect the following categories of personal data:

3.1 Data You Provide Directly

  • Display name and profile information if you choose to create an account or link a social login

  • Communications you send us, such as support requests or feedback

3.2 Account and Social Login Data

Our games can be played without an account. However, if you choose to sign in using a third-party platform, we receive limited profile data from that platform:

  • Apple Sign In: your name and email address (or Apple-anonymised relay address)

  • Google Sign In: your name, profile picture, and Google account email address

  • Facebook Login: your name, profile picture, and Facebook user ID

We use this data solely to create and manage your in-game account. We do not post to your social media accounts without your explicit consent.

3.3 Gameplay and Technical Data (Collected Automatically)

  • Device information: device type, model, operating system version, language and region settings

  • Unique device identifiers and app instance IDs

  • Gameplay data: progress, scores, achievements, session length, in-game actions, guild and multiplayer activity

  • In-app purchase history (transaction reference only; payment card details are never shared with us)

  • Crash reports, error logs, and performance data

  • IP address and approximate location (country/region level)

3.4 Advertising Identifiers

With your consent where required, we and our advertising partners collect mobile advertising identifiers:

  • Apple IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) on iOS devices

  • Google Advertising ID (GAID) on Android devices

These are used to serve personalised advertisements and to measure ad performance. You can opt out at any time (see Section 8).

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To provide, operate, and maintain our games and services

  • To manage your in-game account, progress, and social features (guilds, leaderboards, async multiplayer)

  • To enable social and multiplayer features, including matchmaking and guild membership

  • To process in-app purchases made through Apple App Store or Google Play

  • To serve in-game advertisements, including personalised ads where you have consented

  • To measure and optimise ad performance on behalf of advertisers

  • To send you push notifications about your games (e.g. your turn in multiplayer, guild activity, game updates) — you can disable these in your device settings at any time

  • To analyse gameplay and service usage to improve and develop our games

  • To detect, prevent, and address cheating, fraud, abuse, or other prohibited conduct

  • To respond to your support requests

  • To comply with our legal obligations

5. Legal Basis for Processing (UK and EU Users)

Where UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contract: processing necessary to deliver our games and services to you, including account management, in-app purchases, and multiplayer features

  • Legitimate interests: analytics, fraud and cheat prevention, game improvement, crash reporting, and delivering contextual (non-personalised) advertising — provided our interests are not overridden by your rights

  • Consent: for personalised advertising using your advertising identifier, and for any other processing where we ask for your permission

  • Legal obligation: where applicable law requires us to retain or process certain data

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

6. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your data with the following categories of trusted third parties:

6.1 Analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how players use our games. Firebase may collect device identifiers, gameplay events, and technical data. Firebase is subject to Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

6.2 Advertising Partners

We work with the following advertising networks to serve ads in our games. These partners may collect advertising identifiers and usage data to serve personalised or contextual ads:

Each of these partners operates under its own privacy policy. We recommend you review their policies for full details of how they handle your data.

6.3 Platform Providers

Your use of our games via Apple App Store or Google Play is subject to Apple's and Google's own privacy policies. In-app purchases are processed directly by Apple or Google and we receive only a transaction reference — not your payment details.

6.4 Social Login Providers

If you use Apple, Google, or Facebook to log in, those platforms may independently process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies.

6.5 Legal and Safety Disclosures

We may disclose your data where required by law, court order, or regulatory authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Slurp Games Ltd, our players, or others.

6.6 Business Transfers

If Slurp Games Ltd is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and your rights.

7. Push Notifications

With your permission, we may send you push notifications via your device's native notification system. These notifications may include alerts about:

  • Your turn in async multiplayer games

  • Guild activity and messages

  • Game updates and new content

  • Rewards, events, or time-limited offers within our games

We do not send marketing newsletters by email. Push notifications are delivered through Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) or Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), which process your device token to deliver the notification.

You can withdraw consent for push notifications at any time through your device's notification settings (Settings > Notifications on iOS; Settings > Apps on Android) or within the game settings menu.

8. Advertising and Your Choices

Our games are free to play and are supported by advertising. We work with advertising partners (listed in Section 6.2) who may use your advertising identifier to show you personalised ads based on your interests.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time:

  • On iOS 14.5+: you will be asked for permission (via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt) before we can access your IDFA. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking

  • On Android: go to Settings > Google > Ads and enable 'Opt out of Ads Personalisation'

If you opt out of personalised ads, you will still see the same number of ads, but they will be contextual (not based on your interests). Opting out does not affect your ability to use the game.

9. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers are based outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the UK ICO or the European Commission

  • Transfers to countries that benefit from an adequacy decision

Specifically, data processed by our US-based advertising and analytics partners (including Google, Meta, AppLovin, TikTok, and Unity) is subject to Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms. You can request further information about these safeguards by contacting privacy@slurpgames.uk.

10. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected and to comply with applicable law. Our retention periods are guided by UK GDPR principles and relevant statutory requirements:

  • Account data: retained for the duration of your account, and for up to 3 years following account deletion or prolonged inactivity, after which it is deleted or anonymised

  • Gameplay and analytics data: retained in identifiable form for up to 26 months (in line with Google Analytics / Firebase default retention), then aggregated or deleted

  • Support communications: retained for up to 3 years from the date of your last communication

  • Financial and transaction records (in-app purchases): retained for 6 years as required under UK company and tax law

  • Advertising data held by third-party partners: subject to those partners' own retention policies

When data is no longer required, we will securely delete or anonymise it. You may request earlier deletion in accordance with Section 11.

11. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR (and EU GDPR where applicable), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access: to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you

  • Right to rectification: to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data

  • Right to erasure ('right to be forgotten'): to request deletion of your data in certain circumstances

  • Right to restrict processing: to ask us to limit how we use your data

  • Right to data portability: to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format

  • Right to object: to object to processing based on legitimate interests, or to direct marketing

  • Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing

  • Rights related to automated decision-making: to request human review of any solely automated decisions that significantly affect you

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@slurpgames.uk. We will respond within one calendar month. We may need to verify your identity before we can fulfil your request.

If you are in the UK, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk | Helpline: 0303 123 1113.

If you are in the EU, you may contact your local supervisory authority.

12. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, alteration, or disclosure. These include encrypted data transmission, access controls, and regular security reviews.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you believe your account security has been compromised, please contact us immediately at privacy@slurpgames.uk.

13. Third-Party Links and Services

Our games may contain links to third-party websites, social media platforms, or other services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, notify you via a notice within our games.

Your continued use of our games after any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
